- One of the nipple shapes recommended by breastfeeding experts

As an expert in breastfeeding and sucking difficulties, I know that introducing a bottle is always a sensitive topic for a breastfed baby. Yet, whatever one might say, it remains a practical tool favored by families. That is why I have chosen to offer a very slow-flow nipple in the shop, recommended by sucking professionals (rather than by childcare marketing or social media): the Japanese brand Pigeon Super Slow nipple offers a slow flow for the baby. This nipple is similar in shape to the Lansinoh nipple but offers an even lower flow rate. The Pigeon Super Slow nipple has a triangular shape that encourages a wide-open latch, respecting the natural mechanisms of breastfeeding as much as possible.
PLEASE NOTE: The standard packaging is 4 nipples per pack. Given the high cost, I am offering them individually so you can try them before buying 4. These nipples are expensive because they are imported from the USA: shipping and customs fees are high. If you buy 1, 2, or 3 nipples, you will not receive the original packaging, but a nipple in a clean plastic bag with a copy of the instructions and packaging so you have access to the manufacturer's information.
Features:
Wide-open latch: Thanks to its broad base and gentle transition, it encourages baby to seal their lips optimally, avoiding the "pinched" latches often seen with bottles.
Soft, stretchable silicone: The nipple tip stretches and adapts to baby's palate to respect the anatomy of their oral cavity.
Technical specifications:
- Material: 100% food-grade silicone, BPA-free
- Nipple flow: Super Slow, newborn
- Care: Very easy to clean, dishwasher-safe and supports all sterilization methods.
- Pigeon Super Slow nipple compatible with Lansinoh, Spectra, Pigeon, Mam, Dodie, Philips Avent Anti-colic, and Maymom bottles
Advice
The secret to a good transition: To preserve your baby’s sucking as much as possible, make sure to give this bottle with baby seated or lying on your lap, with the bottle held horizontally (paced bottle feeding). By positioning baby seated or semi-seated and keeping the bottle parallel to the floor, you allow them to control the flow and stop when they are full, just like at the breast! Pause every 5 to 7 swallows.
