- Kit contains 6 x 4mL syringes, traceability labels, transport case, 1 x 30mL feeding cup
Who is this product for?
A complete tool designed to collect, store, and administer the precious first drops of liquid gold safely.
It is possible at the end of pregnancy (generally from the 36th or 37th week of amenorrhea, with medical advice) to collect Colostrum before birth. Often difficult to collect with conventional plastic syringes, Haakaa has revolutionized this moment with these medical-grade soft silicone collectors.
Why you'll love it:
→ Zero waste: The gentle suction cup and natural vacuum effect of the silicone allow you to collect every micro-drop directly at the nipple, without losing precious liquid on the walls of a rigid plastic syringe. No need to use a spoon.
→ Medical-grade silicone: Made from medical-grade silicone, free from BPA, PVC, and phthalates. Unlike plastic, it releases no substances.
→ Eco-responsible and reusable: No more single-use plastic. These collectors can be sterilized indefinitely (boiling water or steam) to support you before and after birth.
→ Simplified storage: Freezer-safe, they go directly from collection to freezer.

Kit Features and Details
Pack contents: 6 Colostrum collectors (4 ml) + 6 traceability labels + 1 rigid transport case + 1 x 30mL silicone cup for administering expressed milk.
Materials: Premium medical-grade silicone
Graduation: Precise and transparent to track collected volume
Direct feeding: The soft tip allows you to give Colostrum directly to baby at the corner of the mouth
The Perfect Technique: How to Use It?
1. Sterilization: Before first use. Sterilize your collectors in boiling water for 2 to 3 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
2. Collection (Gentle pressure): During hand expression. Gently squeeze the collector body to create a slight vacuum, then place the tip at the drop of Colostrum beading on your nipple. Release gently to draw it in.
3. Storage and Identification: Safe freezing. Close the collector with its airtight cap. Note the date and time on a label, then place in the refrigerator (if you wish to add to it or administer it later) or directly in the freezer.
4. Administering to baby: Once thawed or warmed (under warm water), gently squeeze the soft reservoir to release the Colostrum directly into baby’s mouth, drop by drop, respecting their rhythm.
Storage (Standard recommendations):
-
- In the refrigerator (4°C): Up to 48 hours if you wish to add to the syringe.
- In the freezer (-18°C): Up to 6 months.

Recommendations
⚠️ Important note: Always seek advice from your midwife or obstetrician before beginning Colostrum expression (generally recommended from the 36th or 37th week of pregnancy) in specific cases of mother-infant separation, hypoglycemia…
The “+” for mothers
🥰On delivery day, slip your frozen syringes into an insulated pouch for the maternity ward. Request that they be stored in proper conditions in the delivery room or maternity unit.
If baby needs a little help at birth (hypoglycemia, sucking difficulty), you can administer your Colostrum directly with the syringe, without interfering with breastfeeding. Don’t hesitate to seek support from a breastfeeding specialist at the maternity ward or a lactation consultant who can visit you in your room.
Also available: 2mL syringes and Mammex device (add product page links)
We remind you that a newborn requiring supplementation should be supplemented primarily with breast milk (from their own mother or a donor) and that in case of hypoglycemia, the recommended course of action is administration of glucose gel if no breast milk is available. If your baby must receive infant formula supplements, it is recommended to use a hydrolyzed formula to avoid sensitization to cow’s milk proteins (CMPA). See BFHI recommendations
